We’ve some exciting opportunities currently available

Service Desk Technicians

We are looking to appoint suitably skilled Service Desk Technicians.  The roles will consist mostly of helpdesk-based work with occasional on-site duties. We’re looking to appoint both a desktop support technician (1st and some 2nd line) and an escalation technician (generally 2nd and 3rd lines). You will provide IT support via phone, e-mail, chat application and face-to-face.

Candidates should be passionate about technology and helping people. Successful applicants will have excellent customer facing skills and the necessary aptitude to deal with confidential information in an appropriate manner. Individuals must be able to gauge the customer's technical ability and communicate with them using appropriate technical or non-technical language and in a non-condescending manner

Experience in hardware, software, hosted environments (such as Microsoft 365) and operating system functionality or equivalent training and/or education will be extremely beneficial. As will a solid understanding of Ethernet and IP based networking. Customer service experience is preferred. Additional skills such as hardware repair, telephone systems, etc are also highly desirable.

The roles will include rota-based weekend work with occasional additional overtime.

Salary will be dependent on experience and skills, but as a guide:
Level 1 – 2    £21,000 to £26,000 per annum
Level 2 – 3     £25,000 to £30,000 per annum


Senior Infrastructure and Deployment Technical Opportunities

We’re looking to appoint multiple senior-level technicians within our Infrastructure team.

On a general level, we are seeking experienced infrastructure technicians to undertake demanding escalated support, maintenance and/or installations roles. The positions may include lead technical duties on some migration/installation projects with resource management responsibilities.  You’ll work alongside our account managers to architect and recommend customer solutions, roadmaps and strategies.

Additionally, we are looking to extend our resourcing of specialisms within the team, in particular:

  • Backup/disaster recovery/business continuity (primarily centred on the ArcServe/StorageCraft products) 
  • Cyber-security and assisting customers in achieving/maintaining compliance (Cyber Essentials/PCI/etc)
  • Communications and security, including Firewall/UTM/Router and Switch configuration/management  

For each of the above roles you will need to confidently liaise directly with colleagues and our customers at varying levels whilst prioritising requirements and managing expectations. 

Successful applicants will have excellent customer facing skills and proven experience of working extensively in high pressure situations with stringent timescales.

The roles will include some weekend and overtime work.

Salary dependent on experience and skills, (likely to be between £25,000 and £35,000 per annum)


Service Desk Co-ordinator

Our Service Desk is an extremely busy environment with a constant flow of tickets that require prioritising, assigning, escalating and so on.  To maintain our high level of customer care it’s essential that tickets are “owned” and up-to-date at all times.

Your role will help streamline the service our technicians provide to customers, working closely with our Service Desk manager to prioritise tickets as necessary and ensuring that the appropriate level of communication is maintained both internally and with the customer.

Whilst having technical experience or interest is highly desirable as is the ability to converse in both Welsh and English, a demonstrable passion for driving both customer and internal relations is essential.  A confident and assured communicator you’ll liaise with colleagues and external contacts of varying management levels and abilities regularly and manage not only your own workload but also that of your Service Desk colleagues.

This is a new role within our business and as such it provides an exciting and challenging opportunity to help define your own position and how it fits-in with existing operations.

Salary to be agreed based on skills and experience, as a guide £18,000 and £23,000 per annum.


Service Delivery Co-ordinator

Another new role we’re excited to define together with the right person is that of a service delivery co-ordinator.  Acting as the “glue” between technical and non-technical teams you’ll work extensively with our Account Managers and senior technicians, particularly on pre-sales and project management work.

Ideally an educated and/or experienced and skilled technician, you will have an excellent knowledge of current solutions within the IT industry as well as an ability to envisage future trends, particularly how they can be introduced to our customers.

A demonstrable passion for driving and managing customer relationships is essential as is an ability to work with technical colleagues to architect solutions.  You’ll act as the customer’s representative internally and frequently as our business’ representative to the customers.

Project management skills and experience along with a proven ability to keep many plates spinning in a high-pressure environment are highly desirable.
