Growing Junior Hockey in the Teifi Valley with Clwb Hoci Llandysul

Regular readers might already know that BCC IT values the importance of being able to give back to our community. We are proud to sponsor people and projects that bring real value to our locality – helping to build confidence and connection. This month we’re delighted to shine our sponsorship spotlight on Clwb Hoci Llandysul (Llandysul Hockey Club), and the talent that makes up their teams of  determined young women.

Clwb Hoci Llandysul is in the heart of the Teifi Valley sporting community, welcoming players, supporting development, and keeping grassroots hocky thriving locally. Their training takes place on the astro turf at Ysgol Bro Teifi in Llandysul, and the club continues to build momentum season after season.

A Junior Pathway to Building Teamwork and Confidence

Junior sport gives young people a healthy place to belong, a reason to move with purpose, and a team that has their back. Hockey is a brilliant example – building focus, quick decision-making skills, confidence and friendships. The club continues to grow its junior section, creating consistent opportunities for younger players to train, learn and grow.

Why Sponsorship is Important

Grassroots clubs are powered by volunteers and community spirit, but they still need practical support to keep junior sport accessible – especially in smaller, rural areas.

Our sponsorship program helps clubs like Llandysul and supports the wider environment that allows junior hockey to thrive – from purchasing equipment, to time on the pitch, and helping to remove barriers for families. Just as importantly, it confirms that effort matters, young people matter, and that their community is behind them.

We’re thrilled to be named by the club as a match sponsor as well as main sponsors of the senior team, and nothing makes us prouder than seeing local organisations come together to support local sport.

Diolch, Llandysul

One of the things we admire about Clwb Hoci Llandysul is the Croeso cynnes – the welcoming spirit that makes it easier to try something new, whether it’s picking up a hockey stick for the first time, or building confidence within a team.

If you’re curious about hockey keep an eye on the club’s updates and training news – and for parents of local budding athletes, it’s a great community to explore.

From everyone at BCC IT, diolch for what you do for grassroots women’s and girls’ sport – and here’s to a brilliant season ahead.

Rydym yn falch iawn o gefnogi Clwb Hoci Llandysul a’r chwaraewyr ifanc sy’n dod drwyddo. Mae chwaraeon lleol yn adeiladu hyder, cyfeillgarwch a chymuned – ac mae hynny’n union beth rydyn ni’n ei olygu pan rydyn ni’n siarad am “roi nôl”.
