Cyber Security review and bcc IT

A focus on cyber security at the Cardiff Welsh Business Show

BCC IT had an eventful day at the Cardiff Welsh Business Show meeting hundreds of visitors and exhibitors on Thursday 27th April, where we focused on raising the awareness of cyber threats and attack and on how BCC IT could support with putting into place the cyber security measures to help minimise risks.

Steve Mason, BCC IT Director said, “The Welsh Business Show, is one of the first business shows we have exhibited at in several years.  Therefore, there had been a lot of thought and planning on how we wanted the show display to be.  We wanted to make sure we made an impact on the day, and the stand certainly did achieve this.  The display focussed on cyber security and the stand showcase was on the story behind BCC’s community sponsorship wall mural. The mural which covers a full wall at BCC IT HQ meeting room in Carmarthenshire is painted by artist Rhiannon Roberts of Rhiannon Art and illustrates the community sports, groups, organisations and talents we sponsor.

“BCC IT were pleased to be one of the main sponsors of this well organised business show, which is run by Emma Wilkins of the Welsh Business Shows.   We were pleased to be part of the event, where there was a great buzz and energy during the day.”

There was a good number of visitors, show exhibitors and inspiring speakers including transformational coach Joy Ogeh-Hutfield of Joy Transformation and Jamie Denyer a.k.a the Grief Preacher at the business show held at Cardiff City Stadium.
