Amser am hwyl! – BCC IT supports local charity fundraiser festival.

We are very pleased to support local charity, Menter Gorllewin Sir Gar, at their upcoming family festival ‘Gwyl Canol Dre’ in Parc Myrddin, Carmarthen held on the 14th of July.

Menter Gorllewin Sir Gar have been operating since 2007. They encourage and support the community across West Carmarthenshire in economic development for public benefit and creating sustainable communities. Their events give access to services and increase social inclusion, introduce new technology into the community and create a sustainable solution to encourage the use of the Welsh language in rural Carmarthenshire.

‘Gwyl Canol Dre’ is a brand new family festival that will be a day of fun and entertainment directed at families and the younger members of the local community and beyond. The event aims to have something for everyone, with activities such as sport, art and a variety of live music and workshops. There will also be retail stalls scattered around with people selling produce and services from the local area, supporting small community businesses and organisations.

Steven Mason, said, ‘We are pleased to be able to support this family focused festival organised by Menter Gorllewin Sir Gar, a charity who encourage the use of new technology and the Welsh language in our community, at BCC IT this is a big part of our ethos and something we strive to endorse.’

We support several local charities, projects and community organisations and in particular grassroots sporting activities which act as a launch pad for talented young people to become future elite successes.
