🌱 April brought steady progress at BCC IT, along with signs of brighter days and longer evenings. For our team, it was a month focussed on consistency, reliability and helping clients continue to move forward with confidence. 

In this month’s Insight we’re sharing a look back at how our team supported organisations throughout April – from strengthening cyber security and improving day-to-day IT performance, to building the reliable foundations businesses need for sustainable growth.  

Much of this work continues quietly in the background, but for the organisations we support, dependable technology is essential. When systems run smoothly, teams can focus on their work, clients can be served well, and businesses can plan ahead without unnecessary disruption.

During April this was a key focus for our team. We worked with clients to keep systems performing well, reduce avoidable disruption, and make sure support remained aligned with each organisation’s needs.

Throughout April, our team supported clients with a range of managed IT services, technical improvements, and proactive support.  

For some organisations, this meant preparing systems for growth. For others, it involved improving connectivity, upgrading infrastructure, simplifying processes, or resolving recurring issues that had been getting in the way of everyday work.

Behind the scenes, our cyber security team continued working proactively to reduce risk, strengthen protection, and help clients maintain safer, more resilient systems.  

This included: 

  • Monitoring and protecting email environments 
  • Supporting Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus requirements 
  • Identifying vulnerabilities before they become bigger issues 
  • And helping clients strengthen their overall cyber resilience 

Cyber security is not a one-off task. It is an ongoing process that requires regular attention, especially as threats continue to evolve. 

By taking a proactive approach, organisations can reduce risk, improve confidence, and create stronger foundations for the future.

💬 Staying Connected to What Matters

Feedback continues to play an important role in how we work at BCC IT.  

During April, we continued exploring ways to make it even easier for our customers to share their experiences and stay connected with the service they receive. Feedback helps us understand what is working well, where small improvements may make a meaningful difference, and how we can continue to provide a service that feels personal, helpful, and efficient.  

I personally read and record every response, and I will always take the time to reply directly if something has not gone quite right.  

Each week, I also share a feedback report with the whole team. It is something many of our colleagues genuinely look forward to reading, and it helps keep client experience at the centre of what we do.  

So, whether it is our quick pre-loaded emoji, a brief comment, or a more detailed review, please do continue to share your thoughts with us.

🚘 Supporting Local Talent: Ioan Thomas Rally Driver Wales

In April, we also continued out Sponsorship Spotlight series by sharing a brand-new story featuring Welsh rally driver Ioan Thomas.  

Supporting our community and emerging local talent is something we genuinely value at BCC IT. Ioan’s story highlights his journey and development in rally driving – from his early involvement in the sport though to his competitive progression and championship driving.

☀️ Looking Ahead to May

As we move further into Spring and the evenings continue to get longer, there is a natural sense of anticipation for the months ahead.  

At BCC IT, we will continue supporting organisations as they grow, adapt and plan for the future – while keeping everyday operations running smoothly in the background. 

As we move into May, we would also like to reassure clients that we will remain available, although with slightly reduced staffing during the bank holidays, and we appreciate your patience during these periods. 

Quieter moments and time to reset can be valuable for wellbeing, focus, and better decision making. They also support awareness and resilience, which play an important part in maintaining strong cyber security practices – it’s an often-overlooked topic, and one we look forward to exploring next month.
