Blaenachddu Computer Centre was “born” in September 1987 when its founders identified a market for the supply and service of computer systems. Blaenachddu being the name of the owner’s farm and the original location of the company’s offices. The main aim of the fledgling company was to supply computer systems with a heavy emphasis on total customer satisfaction and providing a superior service to that which was typically found in the marketplace, indeed one of their slogans was “Some may equal our price, none can equal our service”. This proved a recipe for success and by following these principles the company gained an excellent reputation and grew quickly.
In 1990 the company expanded and moved into new premises that offered space for a showroom, an office, lecture rooms and training rooms. Through dedication and hard work, in 1992 Blaenachddu become an RSA approved training-centre and over the next five years become the leading computer-services supplier in West Wales. Throughout this period of growth the business was gaining an excellent reputation and slowly moving its focus from selling to homes and farms to supplying the business community.
2002 proved to be a significant year for Bleanachddu as a number of these plans came to fruition; firstly a Managers Buyout took place and the senior management team changed, secondly the business relocated to bigger and better purpose-designed premises that included a Technical Workshop and Helpdesk facility, thirdly the company decided to focus solely on the business market, delivering high quality technical support and related computer services as well as IT sales and finally a name change – Blaenachddu Computer Centre became BCC IT Solutions.
Focusing on the business community allowed BCC IT Solutions to recruit key members of staff with specific technical skills and this in turn allowed the business to further grow and develop a client portfolio that now reaches throughout Wales, England & Ireland. Diverse technical disciplines firmly established the company across a number of sectors from small to medium enterprise, corporate, registered charities and voluntary organisations.
2011 and 2012 have seen further significant investment in the business in a number of key areas; we doubled the size of our premises, in turn this has allowed us to expand our Helpdesk and Workshop facilities and take on additional staff. We have invested heavily in our Datacentre facility in Bristol allowing us to further our offerings in the ‘Hosted Services’ market i.e. Cloud Backup, Hosted Exchange, Hosted SQL, SaaS and PaaS. We’ve invested heavily in RMM software (Remote Monitoring and Management) which is currently being rolled out across our client base, with the aim of further improving our already excellent levels of customer service.
Now trading in our 25th year, we are happy to report that BCC IT Solutions is still growing strongly with an expanding client base, and by further developing our portfolio of services offered, we are looking forward to the next 25 years!
